Hello Everyone, 

Welcome to my English 101A.A01 portfolio. In it you will find my writings I did in this quarter. During this quarter, I learned a lot of what are my strengths, weaknesses, and area that I need to work on as a writer. I learned that I lack the skills to manage time, make revisions, and make a structured paper. However, I gained the skills to be better at making my ideas clearer and being a little more organized. I still have a lot to learn as a writer and this quarter gave me a big step towards being better.  

In the two major papers that I did, the writing processes paper was the hardest for me. I was having troubles explaining my writing processes and finding the right words. The main difficulties I had was finding a way to organize my paper. What did I want to share to the readers? How can I explain my process without losing track? I kept overthinking and having troubles making my thoughts more organized. This paper pushed me to critically think about what I want to put in my paper. 

Throughout the quarter, I got to see the improvements I made as a writer. I learned that I prefer to work later in the day and under pressure. I learned how to think more critically on what I want on my paper and be able to covey my ideas in a way that readers understand. The paper that I was most proud of was my rhetorical paper. In my paper, I got to rhetorically analyze one of my favorite songs. I was able to get my ideas more organized and was able to make a proper structure for my paper. Although, I was able to make some improvements but, I still have a lot I want to work on as a writer. 

I want to get better at making revisions, grammar, and organization. Even though, I have gotten better at making my paper organized, I still having troubles making the paper flow correctly. At least in my eyes, I feel like I am my paper lacks something. I want to get into the habit of printing out my paper and work on my proofreading skills. I hope with this habit, I would be better at making revisions to my paper and see my grammar mistakes. 

I felt like that the photo above best represents how I am as a writer. Since I have trouble making sense of what I am writing. I hope with this portfolio, I would be able to show what I mean from this letter.
